Behind the Curtain?

It is simple to get there, but we do not like to think about it. That is why we have built layers upon layers upon layers of ideas. The existential void. That which awaits us after death. There is an easy way to reach it. I will take you there.

First, start by denying social ideas. Society does not exist. Nothing exists outside your home. Then reduce it to your room, then reduce it to your mind. There are no schedules, no jobs, no parties or friends, no government. None of that exists. They are only social constructions, and to reach the origin we must remove them from our minds.

Next, deny the past. You never said your first words, you never fell for the first time, you never lost a tooth, you never saw your mother, you never grew up, nothing. All of that stopped existing long ago. You are no longer that. I want you to stay as you, only with yourself.

Now, deny the future. You will not have the house of your dreams, you will not achieve your dreams, you will not see the new film by your favorite director. All of that is false, something we made up. So it must be denied. Think of everything you ever wanted and erase it. Think about how you will never have it. How you will never see those you love again. All of that must be denied.

You are alone, aren’t you? So alone in an incomprehensible world. In the end, everything around you is there because you believe in it. You believe it has a name, a function, a form. All of that is false, it is inside your mind. Everything is a lie you have told yourself. The entire world around you is something completely fictional, you have invented it, and if we want to know the truth, we must deny it as the lie it is. How do you feel? Take a breath. Stop here if you feel overwhelmed. If you feel ready to continue, then let’s go on.

Who are you? Have you asked yourself that? What do you like? Have you ever thought that all of that is just a fiction you invented so you would not be “nobody”? Because it does not come from outside, it comes from you, and that means it is false, so it must be denied. Nothing that you like exists. You have no age, no name, no surname, no preferences, no beliefs, none of that. Throw it away. It is useless. It does not exist. Say goodbye.

What do you feel? Do you see anything? Do you feel your body still sending you signals? Those perceptions are also constructed. So now you must deny your own body. You are a consciousness floating in space. You have no body or connection to the world. Detach from your body. You are not skin or flesh. You are not feeling anything. You are only thinking. Thinking about how you have nothing left.

Finally, deny concepts themselves, the very language I use to communicate with you. A word is a construction. Your thoughts are a construction. The text on this screen is something invented; in reality, it means nothing. There is nothing. There is nothing.

You are here. The absolute void. There is nothing. It is nothing. It is such an empty nothingness that giving it a name, calling it anything, is an insult to its emptiness. It is “ ”. To think within it is a crime. And when you stop thinking, you, what remains of you, will be “ ”. It is “ ”. It simply is. It is a verb without subject or object. It is. It is. It is. I will let you be “ ” for a while.

Ready to come back? Good. You can go back to lying to yourself. You can have a name again. But remember, the “ ” will be waiting for you when you die. You will return to it. And there it will be eternal. You will dissolve into absolute nothingness. But it is better to keep lying to yourself, isn’t it?

Maybe, after all, lies are the most human way to keep existing. Now you know what you are afraid of. But it is good to know what lies behind, isn’t it? And now you also know that everything that is not “ ” is a lie, and that it will dissolve the moment you disappear. Liberating, yet suffocating, isn’t it?

Now, return. Be free to lie. Make your lies as beautiful as you can while you can. The void is waiting for you. And when you accept it, it no longer dominates you. Because only those who have looked into the void can live free from its shadow.
